It's interesting that the MCU essentially started out with the Ultimates and Ultimate Comics as a basis but now the newer films take from the classic Marvel comics more.

Like the Thor films are a great example of this shift where the first two are close to Ultimate Thor but the last two have been very in line with main line Thor.
