I had never even heard if Dune before the film drop but the illustration in OP had me thinking it would be visually different for a serious scifi film. Just another monochromatic flick

it’s been happening more lately and it’s the better choice

origins just reinforce the overall goal/theme of the character and where they should end up, it only needs to be done if the casual viewer wouldn’t be invested without it

But if I said the same about Man Of Steel they'd agree.. which is arguably more visually engaging than at least 1 of the mentioned but that's something else

People be asking me why Superman is my favorite since there are other strong characters like Thor or Hulk. But the action bits aren't even my favorite Superman moments. Don't get me wrong the spectacle is great but the violence only has so much replay value especially when it's presented in a cliche way.

Even when I rewatch Matrix it's not really for the action. I can go on YouTube for that. I'll watch the whole final fight of Neo vs Smith just so I can see the last 60 seconds of him being absorbed and Smith saying "it's not fai"

Neo is best Superman. It was always about the drama of Matrix fights rather than the fight it self in many ways. Definitely wish they got Hugo Weaving back for 4. He was more central than Morpheus.

Spectacle can only go so far. Even on this Superman . Villain and developing humanity will matter a lot.
