Seeing a lot of people complaining about this lol

Idk man I think it's fire that lesser known characters are getting standalome movies where the director can do what they want with and it doesn't have to necessarily push the overall cinematic universe plot along.

ill give him mad props if this universe actually lasts for 10 years that would be wild
“Superman is the true start of everything, it's a humongous epic. This is a way for people to just take a little nibble and see what it tastes like,” Gunn says. “There are a ton of fun references to other DC stuff, a bunch of hints for things that are coming. So I think it's just an extraordinarily fun way to start.”
“There's an innocence to G.I. Robot that I didn't quite see until Sean stepped into the booth and started creating this character,” Gunn says. “His choices for G.I. Robot give the character this sweet, mechanic innocence. He’s got this very sad history from World War II. The only time I think he felt at home was with the soldiers that he served with in DC's alternate history of World War II, where metahumans were involved.”
tom welling update on smallville animated sequel
"We’ve been talking about it for a few years,” Welling explained. “We want to do a Smallville comic book and animated series, and then we would all voice the characters. We’ve already got an artist, and we have a poster.”
“We haven’t been able to share it yet, but Lionel Luthor is looming over everybody, and it’s really cool, but we just we we can’t do anything without DC saying we can do it. They just haven’t given us a green light, but we’re ready, and Al Gough and Miles Millar, who wrote Smallville, want to write it., but it’s not our property, until they say we can do it.”
“It would be more of a labor of love. It’s not going to make a billion dollars, so the studio is kind of like grumbles. Maybe we can do a — not a GoFundMe, because that’s financial — but like a petition. We can petition Warner Bros. to let us do it.”
never happening i fear
