I said this in The Batman thread and I’m gonna reiterate it here.
Think about the first Iron Man. Outside the mech suits, it’s pretty grounded. Would you believe that soon after there would be a movie in the same world about a sorcerers spell that breaks open the multiverse?
Whatever happens in Gotham happens in Gotham. We haven’t seen Superman, Creature Commandos is a special ops mission in a European country. The Batman films are focused on Gotham, they don’t need to acknowledge what happens in Superman or any other film. Inserting an Easter egg wouldn’t be an issue.
We don’t even need Batman to interact with anyone until a Justice League movie. As far as his villains go, it all depends on execution.

I mean they could make it work for sure. But I’d rather them keep it separate. And i definitely don’t think he’d work well with a Robin at least currently. Just would much rather let them have Reeves cook his own universe and them get a new Batman with a more animated show vibe for the DCU Batman. Give me an animated show like Joker in the DCU.

barry's face is perfect for a more normal, traditional, animated series/killing joke type joker. we haven't seen one where its just white face purple suit and crime in a long time. he could still penguin-hbo-series it up with a bit of a backstory and grounded lore to the costume/joker iconography but i'd love if they let barry do a more traditional joker

just cause he started recently in those movies doesn't mean the DCU movies are set at the exact same time. There's a reason why Gunn doesn't want to follow the Marvel timeline model

I feel you but Gunn has made it a point that this universe has been inhabited by metahumans for a long time. It’s nit even about how ground The Batman or Penguin was. It just doesn’t fit imo.
