Great basically hour long interview with James.
Noted that Episode 8 of this season of Peacemaker is as important as anything for Man of Tomorrow
Noted that Superman is more comic-booky than Man of Tomorrow is
Man of Tomorrow is slightly tonally different than Superman
Loves the mashup of different genres and seeing characters go from one genre to the other.
Says he's watching dailies of Clayface all the time and is like "this is totally different"
Says that he's been watching episodes of Lanterns and that "it's very grounded but not grounded in the same sort of comedic f***ed up way as Peacemaker but grounded in a much more serious way"
Says the DCU is less about "oh let's tell this big overarching story that everything is going to lead to this moment and there's things that are like that but the DCU is much more about creating a universe that people can enter into and exist at any point in time". Similar to Star Wars.
Thinks Lex as a character is really interesting. Despite everything there is something incredibly heroic about Lex. Take aside morality. His ambition and jealousy are beyond compare.
There's not a great thing about Lex but it makes him full. He's so much more full than most of these villains in these movies because he's got his reasons for everything.

Idk man I’m suspicious about Lanterns. Not necessarily the creative team but it’s still so weird that they decided Lanterns is the one to make a tv show about?
And every piece of info we get they keep using the word “grounded” and that makes me feel like this show will be 85% them walking around in civilian clothes with some straight laser beam ring shots every now and then before the big finale

I see what you're saying, but I feel like the Green Lantern Corps is perfect for a show due how many Lanterns there are and the strength of stories between like the main 3 ones. I know this is more "grounded" but I think there's potential to expand in a season 2 or in a movie moving forward from this introduction to the likely main Lanterns (John and Hal).
And truth be told that is most likely what is going to happen lmao. Lot of detective work behind a mystery, the audience and characters trying to put the pieces together of the puzzle and cliff hangers etc. until the penultimate and then final episode. It's Lindelof's speciality.

He said he wants to but static shock licensing is in a weird place because he is a milestone character not exclusively DC
Bro am I the only one who thinks the actress who plays Adebayo is kind of bad?
Like every time she delivers a line it just feels off
I'm glad I'm not the only one. I'm always distracted by how weird her delivery is. It's like she has a permanent sarcastic tone
