And then telling him like "you make me feel loved like ive never felt loved before " and like we havent really seen that ever ? Them being friends yeah okay but that felt so out of nowhere

Oh ive read through berserk twice and really like it but imo creature commando just struggled with tone in a way that made all of it feel very gratuitous and in bad taste

Also i get what james Gunn is going for with this metahuman thing i think it has a lot of potential but so far it feels so undercooked

You dont need to beat the audience over the head with it but like we barely have anything so far and its especially jarring in Peacemaker because that stuff just pops up in the finale out of nowhere , in a show that basically has close to ZERO meta humans in the first place

Rick Flag being a stand in for Gunn is so funny to me. Dudes first DCU show has the main character with spiky white hair and beard having s***with a traditionally beautiful blonde queen in the first episode, you can’t make this s*** up

The ego in this whole endeavor of making peacemaker and Rick flag such a thing is honestly funny even if it’s sad. It’s almost beyond parody. But the world is so shameless that stuff like this doesn’t really get called out the way it would years ago.
