Okay i like how the people who voice the animated movies/shows will also be the actors in live action

What slightly concerns me is that they’ve announced 11 projects already and have said that there’s more to come in Chapter 1. Hope they’re not worrying about quantity > quality

What’s crazy to me is WB is letting James Gunn lead chapter 1 with unknown groups and characters

And the solution to that is make batman relate right with the audience

The MCU has proven that unknown properties can be turned into household names if adapted correctly

Nobody knew who Iron Man was. Took a stroke of genius in the casting department to pull it off though.

I do think it’s a little odd that it’s officially starting with Creature Commandos, an animated series, rather than the Superman live action film

Iron Man was C list, Creature Commandos is like Z list

nah if you knew avengers you knew iron man and he was a leader, his individual stories tho nobody knew s*** about

Enjoying his Raban etc but he does not have the range or depth to pull off a mastermind supervillain

That's the thing The Avengers were not a household name. Spider-Man and X-Men and maybe the Hulk were but not the Avengers.

They take batman more serious cause they're ashamed of the source material. You can take a serious approach to any of these characters. A lot of these film makers lack the imagination and probably the skill too

The existence of Iron Man was definitely known by the general public before the MCU lol idk where this comes from. He wasn’t Spider-Man or Hulk or Wolverine levels of being known but the average person knew who an ‘Iron Man’ was

Even the source material for Batman tends to lean more serious though. Most of his most iconic stories are the darker ones

I think the creature commandos intro is more of a soft start but yeah I haven't heard of them either.

I hadn't heard of Guardians of the Galaxy either tbh. Not a huge comic reader but definitely had enough to know most the Marvel and DC characters before I was a teenager.

idk man i personally around the time iron man 1 came out i was a kid and a lot of us who simply watched cartoons, played games and went into the superhero section of a bookstore/target knew the big 4 of the avengers Not saying household but they weren’t completely unknown

Yeah but Gunn said the universe will weave from live action to animation and vice versa and the same actors will portray both the live action and animated versions of each character, so I think they’re treating it with the same level of importance as the live action projects
