should i pursue the CPA designation if i just want to work in non profit, im not good at studying
If you’re not good at studying then the CPA is gonna be miserable lol
There’s so many non-accounting roles at a non-profit, why CPA?

i still want to do accounting just not a fan of corporate culture

Accounting is about as corporate as it gets just with the role it’s itself
You can look at the technology sector — even tho it’s a bit f***ed right now the labor demand for accountants is relatively inelastic compared to other roles
Find a recruiter! Maybe look at healthcare industries as well.
Non-profit wages are very low honestly
finally back itt after being finding a new job
this s*** is crazy, got hired with someone else who is a senior but i know 100000x more than them, they just have 2 decades of work experience over me
they keep calling me for help and s*** lol

If u wanna do accounting might as well just go straight into a math major, would have a lot more flexibility
In math studying is basically just doing all the homework, pick the right teachers find a faculty member to advise u on which classes to take, if u like math it will be fun

You all ever quit with nothing lined up? I need to get out of this job. I have cabin fever, I’m losing it. Been applying elsewhere for the last year but haven’t had any luck. I’ve got enough in my savings to live for a while. But I’m not sure what a gap in my employment will look like for future job applications.
What did you do..
Today drained me yall
A full, from 6:30 to 4, day of non stop work. I didnt even eat and damn near fainted in my car at the garage.
I took a shower and felt like Geto Suguru

Indian foreigners working in tech are so prevalent and always so nice and chill to work with
got this dude on my team and he loves his job so much man he’s always micromanaging my ass even though he’s just a senior dev and not my direct report
request came in from an external team to ingest some data. he asked me to create a document surrounding what we already provide and what we don’t. I had the exact quote in writing directly as he wrote it. Dude called me screaming his ass off because I didn’t provide a detailed technical solutioning plan 😹😹 I corporately told him to f*** off by reading his request email word for word and saying “is that what you were looking for” “NO MAN THAT IS NOT WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR MAN” and then I said “well that was exactly your message actually, not me saying that” and this mf had the audacity to still go “yeah but”😭😭😭
