So I’m always posting comments inspiring y’all about hustling, working, and securing success for your future generation. I recently put myself up to the task of having 3 jobs to support my daughter and it’s been tough

My first job is Kroger from 10pm - 7am M-F.

Second job is Publix from 8am - 2pm M-F.

Third job is movie theatre. Only on Saturday’s from 9am - 6pm.

Let me tell y’all something has to change. This s*** is too much on me. Plus trying to take care of my daughter it’s a disaster working like this.

So today I was stocking shelves at Publix and I fell asleep while standing.I was already struggling to keep my eyes open, it’s like my body was forcefully shutting down. It was so bad I couldn’t even open the box with the box cutter 💀

I was in the middle of the floor near the frozen section so I was in the middle of the floor and totally visible.

I woke up like 10 mins later and saw multiple people staring at me like I was on d**** or sum. I tried hard to stay awake but I don’t even remember falling asleep I just blanked out.

Many days I only get 2 hours of sleep before I have to go to Kroger and then immediately target. I literally work back to back and this s*** is taking a toll on me.

Do y’all have any suggestions or any way I can change my schedule because I’m losing it family. As I write this post my eyes keep falling.

I can’t even drive without serving all over the damn road. It’s hard for me focus please help

Edit: honestly bro after reading this s*** you need to chill out. Not trying to sound like an a****** but you may need to look into applying for some form of state assistance like food stamps or something. It would be one thing if you were single but the fact you got a kid leading on a lifestyle like this isn't beneficial to you or your daughter.

All that for Kroger, Publix and a movie theater? Respect the work ethic but none of this is inspiring OP.

OP I respect you working but honestly you should look into a trade/apprenticeship. There’s no way that level of working is worth the pay you’re getting.

Three jobs is extreme and i don’t feed into that hustle culture stuff cause it’s just people who base their entire identity on it. but if it’s to provide for someone then idk what to tell you bro, just work part time at publix or whatever to cut down the total hours from all 3

Keep this going, you won’t be able to support your daughter let alone yourself. It’s kinda likely that you’ll literally lose your mind if you continue at this clip. Like currently do you even have the time to be at home / relax/ raise your child?

Get into a space where you have a bit more of a work life balance man. You made this thread knowing your situation was f***ed up.

Perhaps leave one job, and restructure your hours at one of the other 2. Then with the free time you have seeing that you cut a job, look into adding to your skill tree and getting into a position where you only need one job

for starters, quit one of your M-F jobs

I put TVs up on the side with my LLC but it doesn’t bring in enough income

Drop the overnight job

Go to trade school or take an online Google Certificate course

Get a job that pays the same or more than the two jobs at reasonable hours

I was thinking about getting another job but thank you for this , now I know I shouldn’t .

you are working 80 hours a week of basically entry level/minimum wage jobs

you need to increase your earning potential and get a higher paying job for less hours

luckily the third job (if i get it) wouldn’t be insanely hard, lot of office work in a place i really like with a manager i genuinely appreciate

F*** that. Just reading that stresses me out and I would have blown my brains being in that situation.

Real advice:

Unfortunately, time with your daughter is going to have to be cut because you need to get that 5-7 hours of sleep everyday. You will also need to learn a recession-proof trade very soon so that means your Saturday evenings and Sundays are gone for the next 4-6 months as you learn and find a new job but I think it would be worth it. Especially when you can work 40-50 hours and make more money and see your daughter more. This is something attainable so get your hustle on towards something that will push your life forward.
