World War Z is a third-person shooter (now includes first person) video game developed and published by Saber Interactive. Loosely based on the 2006 novel of the same name and set in the same universe as the 2013 film adaptation, the game follows groups of four survivors of a zombie apocalypse in the cities of New York, Jerusalem, Moscow, Tokyo, Marseille, Rome and Kamchatka. Players can choose from 7 classes (each with their own perks and abilities). Link with 3 other players in co-op PvE to defeat hordes and escape the horrors of each level.

Ever played L4D? This is essentially that with a 3rd person view and sick set pieces. If you've ever watched the film World War Z and recall the mountains of zombies that would stack up, you can witness and fight those in this game.

IMO it's wayyyyy better than Back 4 Blood.

Current gen update now introduces a new HORDE XL mode which is the same as the previous horde (waves) mode but with even BIGGER hordes thanks to current gen tech.

i will say it is cool when they all attack you but other than that it’s kinda boring

The game is fun dude. Nice variation on the L4D formula which is over a decade old at this point with no other viable games (b4b plays terrible).

Classes are pretty significantly different with their abilities and playing on hard or the hardest difficult is a real challenge.

Is it worth full price for you? Maybe not but I paid full price and have more than gotten my money’s worth, super replayable.
