This year was kinda meh when it comes to rap music but we got some dope albums across other genres
1. The Weeknd - After Hours
this one was easy. From the first note of the intro I knew the album is special and I haven't heard anything as polished and original all year.
BEST SONG: "Save Your Tears"
2. The 1975 - Notes On A Conditional Form
Their most experimental album. Some felt it was all over the place and random but to me it actually displays how versatile they are and it's one of my fav albums this year and in general bc it matches well with how my moods flow. One day I listen to Nirvana and feel untouchable and angry and the other I bump Sufjan Stevens feeling small and vulnerable. Having so many genres in one album is amazing.
BEST SONG: "I Think There's Something You Should Know"
3. Lil Uzi Vert - Eternal Atake (Deluxe)
To me this album proved Uzi is a superstar and KTT might hate on it just to hate but I remember when it dropped no one was calling it trash and it was far better than we expected. Getting basically 32 songs no fillers with multiple songs that are prime Uzi... damn.
BEST SONG: "I'm sorry" (If "Sanguine Paradise" was on the album it would be a #1 no hesitation tho)
4. Yves Tumor - Heaven To A Tortured Mind
I'm kinda sad he completely skipped his ambient/instrumental roots on this one but Yves proved he's a rockstar and one of the biggest talents alive.
BEST SONG: "Strawberry Privilage"
5. Grimes - Miss Anthropocene
There's something about Grimes' sound that just gets me. Not much to say about this one other than that Grimes mastered her sound. It sounds like music from the future and I loved everything about it.
BEST SONG: "So Heavy I Fell Through The Earth"
6. 21 Savage x Metro Boomin - SAVAGE MODE II BEST SONG: "Slidin"
7. Nothing But Thieves - Moral Panic BEST SONG: "Unperson"
8. SahBabii - Barnacles BEST SONG: "Tongue Demon"
9. Kelly Lee Owens - Inner Song BEST SONG: "Jeanette"
10. Kid Cudi - MOTM III: The Chosen BEST SONG: "Solo Dolo, PT. III"
Honorable mentions: All Them Witches - Nothing as the Ideal, PND - PARTYMOBILE, Trippie Redd - Pegasus, Nicolas Jaar - Cenizas
Cool

pegasus?
I know you didn't listen to that album without your hate agenda bc if you gave it a fair try you would see how much Trippie snapped on this one
