Wanted to share this snippet from the past of someone who cared about his integrity and love of music. Respect ✊🏾

Or he was in the middle of a show he was getting paid to do lol. He probably didn't think he would actually get murdered. This isn't Christ on the cross.

I mean if you read the accounts of the story he was living in Cali basically on the run from specific people, he probably knew the note was it. It wasn’t like some random event

This is more of the narco culture in mexico. If an artist has a narcocorrido or d*** ballad for any narco dudes then opposing cartels mark you as a target.

Chalino had troubles with the local cartel according to locals.

Valentine Elizalde had a song called "para mis enemigos (For my enemies) where he had lyrics dissing someone (allegedly the Gulf Cartel). He was shot 20 times after a show.

El Gallito used to cover Valentin Elizalde songs. He never actually recorded any songs either. He was found dead in Tijuana. They froze him and left a note on him that said "We will go".

Sergio Veka aka El Shaka was driving to a concert in Sinaloa and was ambushed. He was shot 30 times. According to locals he was a d*** trafficker.

Jesus imagine if rap was like that. You can't really claim anything in mexico unless you're deep in business with them. Else you get extorted or whacked.

Yeah, I saw. It's still not this romantic bullshit OP is on. It's a tragedy. He didn't do it because "the show must go on" or some s***.

Under those circumstances, or any other similar circumstances, my heart would be telling me to sing/act/whatever the threat is cautioning me to do, but that would be the selfish, egotistical thing to do. I still have a mother, grandmother, and family that care for me and would be upset and confused if they learned that I chose a moment of glory over them.

No disrespect to him though, its just me.
