But with omerta I have to disagree. Thats the one song where he actually restored that nwts/2014 feeling for me. To me he doesn't sound lazy/monotonous on that joint at all. He actually sounds inspired/hungry and willing to prove he still got the bars and the delivery. Especially in the 2nd part he hits that nwts pocket on the bar "I built a bridge to success and had visions of me ridin over" and proceeds to go off for the rest of the song.

I'd also reference his fire in the booth for that matter. If you had that s*** leak as a 2014 vaulted song, I'd believe it.

It's difficult to say from afar and with so many different tastes in his fan base to cater to. But to be honest I just want him to make the music he wants to make and in the way he wants to make it. Just own the way he is. And defo not have another beef overshadow the album rollout/creation. I wanna hear his best verses that we supposedly haven't heard yet. And I want him to go back to enjoying finding new flows and pockets and melodies.

I keep going back to that q interview about nwts. No wonder that album turned out so great with the way he describes the thought behind it. I hope he finds back to that headspace of being himself and making exactly the music he wants to make. Taking the time he wants to take on bars and songs like tuscan leather or the way he had to find the hook for trophies and at the same time enjoy himself making songs like nfw in the moment off an idea. Also f*** what anyone says about collboration in music. At the end of the day i want the best drake songs possible. He needs to stop letting other people try and box him in and just proove he can very much be the goat rapper drizzy while still blending the rap in with the melodies and also be able to have that pop star status and being that successful and making fun songs in between.

Don't make music out of the neccessity of what the fans want or the people around him or what would make sense from a business standpoint - just make the music he wants to make. That would be my advice. Not that he'd probably need it.

Nwts singing was the perfect vocal balance

Iyrtitl I like the rapping because he was dancing in the pocket with flows and cadences .

But production is a big worry for me as I think ovo producers have been stale for 2 yrs now . And mixing has been subpar.

Oz is a good producer I just don’t think his beats stand out.

A lot albums recently on the producers side from other artist sound way better than anything ovo been doing and at 1 point they where the standard.

I thought he would kind of go that route hooking up w/ Nai Palm but it didn't end up materializing that way.
His music does have a lot of variety, considering the volume, but he doesn't get the credit for it cause it's not distinctly artsy.
