Last time I had some decent feedback. Feel free to trash me if it's hot trash.
This is the only community I'm chill with sharing songs I make with.
Thus time I went full on dark rnb and no drill. My goal is to create a sound that is inspired by the original dark Toronto sound except create my own unique version/ take of it.
Started typing out a reply earlier but I didn’t have time to finish it.
I really like the sound & overall vibe, in fact I think you really have a good sound here.
But I do think the vocals or mixing needs more work.
It’s currently drowned in effects to the point where I’m losing the vocals in the mix.
Bring them more forward, cut out some of the effects, and maybe mix them a little better. There’s a lot of frequencies overlapping & you could really benefit from cleaning some of that up.
But overall, I like it, I think you have some potential if you just keep practicing!

Thank you. I really appreciate that. In terms of the vocals and the mixing I agree that it's completely trash lol. I don't know how to mix what I'm doing right now is making these demos as best as I can as reference tracks. And then I'm going to record them add an actual studio very soon once the entire album is written.
I think my Singing and melodies are years ahead of any type of producing skills. Lol So I'm not going to try in that and just focus on the vocals and let a professional do the rest.
Looking forward to your album :).
This is another demo on the album. I'm trying to keep the sound and character the same and cohesive. Does this sound like it's from the same artist?

Just look up mixing tutorials and it should get your music and mixing skills up to a place that you’re happy with :)

Sometimes I'm tempted. Then I'd be able to make the beats myself too.
Do these all sound like the same sounds and character. I'm trying to be coheisive. Theybsre snippets loke 30 seconds.
When u have a second to listen.
