If you live with your parents/grandparents and are going out hooking up with people and s*** then you’re a piece of s***. However, if you live on your own or with roommates your age, I see no issue

The issue is when you unknowingly transmit the virus to someone who does live with their parents/grandparents. Yes the blame is on them for being out in the first place but it would also partly be on you.

I think the onus is on the individual with the compromised family members. That’s their idiocy or selfishness.

Also there’s a very low transmission rate for asymptotic people and if you’re going to a festival I’d venture to say you have no symptoms or have literally tested negative recently. So that already mitigates risk.

And again, I can only take responsibility for my immediate circle. I wouldn’t take any secondary responsibility because some dumbfuck came to a party then went to visit their sick grandpa in the hospital the next morning.

Edit: also when I was on campus last semester, I partied and knew people who also did way more. Most of them never caught it but many of them actually did. Even the most irresponsible dumbasses never went home or interacted with their parents without getting tested. So id say most young people(at least in my area) are smarter than y’all give them credit for at least in this regard.

Either they lock us down and pay or they will deal with this. Can’t put life on hold for old folks and people with weak respiratory systems.
