After 2 years of pretty much every game having an option between Fidelity and Performance mode, games are coming out with no 60fps option. It could be because we were mostly getting cross gen games, but I believe they've already set the tone that having a 60fps option is standard. Are Next Gen consoles still too weak to have good graphics and frame rate going forward?
I just want good gameplay mechanics I am going to be honest with you. Obviously ideally yes 60fps but I grew up gaming 30fps games with great mechanics that were fun . They weren't 4k either.
Got a pc,series s, and a ps5
If it's 30fps on consoles I'm getting it on PC.
Only time I can see myself going fully console is if the game got crazy stutter like RE8, FF7R, and Elden Ring
Also locked to 1440p at 30fps is wackest s*** I have seen considering series s is running the same game at 1080p/30fps
Edit: Also get ubisoft games on console cause their pc ports are awful outside of Far Cry and Siege
Quote me in 2 years when the "next gen" game still is 30fps and they promised 4k60
Watch the excuses be how the game is too good to run on a 2020 console then

Nah they got to get it right even next year but these 2 specific games are games we don't give a flying f*** about
Unless it looks like that matrix demo
No

I get it, I don't even pay these no mind
But I like how they set it up now, for them still to end up with an alibi 2-3 years later after launch when they still keep 30fps around

Hell no lmao
30 frames is in excusable, Gotham Knights should have an option for both. I'm sure they'll patch it in after a couple months, but it's really makes me not think highly of that game.

Then its as simple as don't buy those game or support the developers with poor optimization if that is something you prioritize but to point out a bunch of 30fps games that I don't plan on buying either way
PS5 / Xbox Series are NOT true next gen consoles
They’re basically PS4 Pro+ and Xbox Series XX
I felt like they tried to sell us on games being 4K @ 60 and all these major titles are doing 1080 @ 60 OR 4K @ 30
S***s are a waste of money IMO. All these games coulda ran on last gen no problem
yeah idrc my eyes will adapt
This is the truth!!!
Going from 60ps to 30ps is literally vomit worthy but you get used to it. Or if you just make the 30ps game the only one you play that day, you don’t even notice

Shut up yes they are next gen was leaps and bounds better than previous gen + SSD’s + massive massive CPU improvement
the gaming community caring more about 4k and 60fps over actually fun gameplay is sad
yes im not a nerd

this, & caring about cosmetics and skins
These two games in particular are funny because Gotham Knights looks worse than Arkham Knight which came out in 2015 and Plague Tale is an indie game technically

feels doomed when people will post digital foundry videos like its their religion. Comparing games that don't need to be compared and obsession over review scores

Arkham Knight is different developer though. Then Plague Tale you just said is an indie game
