No. I don't think she understands income inequality issues as well as she thinks she does.

I think it definitely is when you start talking about solutions and working it into policy.

The solutions proposed though are still big issues, I was heavily supportive of sanders/warrens plans and that's just healthcare.

However, in just one case a problem came to my attention while I listening to an economist podcast of the issues of the investment tax in those plans.

It's lot to type out the details but basically it's proven that a tax on those investments would be felt at every level and ripple out into asset prices and hit regular people's 401Ks significantly.

That type of issue has huge implications and isn't talked about. There's a lot more but that's just one example.

i hope you don't mean a podcast by "the economist"

Also it still isn't that complex. 401ks are largely a scam anyway

but regardless, all of that s*** is secondary to you know, providing people with what they need and deserve.

It was Capitalisn't and The Economist is a good paper to read regardless if you agree to the politics or not it's quality of writing and level of detail is better than the far majority.

It's not secondary if it's gonna hurt the majority of people in this country significantly. Something like that deserves consideration and '401k is a scam' isn't an argument. You're investing your own money and it's grown and matched with investments in index funds. Index funds which basically indicate the health of the country.

Maybe you think it's scam because of the implications of recessions but that's the nature of investing in equities.

Not all 401ks are matched by the employer.

Anyways, the point is, all of that stuff is secondary to guaranteeing people a good standard of living.

Maybe there's something wrong with the way our economy is structured if instituting even the most moderate of social reforms present in many other nations is going to hurt "the majority of the people in this country significantly."

also luigi zingales is a conservative economic hack.

Our economy is different from other countries because of the reliance of other nations on our currency. Also, you stretched the hell out of me pointing out a legitimate issue with the investment tax bro.

If you could point out how Zingales is a hack too that would help.
