What the f*** does this have to do with anything?

How are you going to go from working a menial job to running the US with next to zero experience in government?

this is why we have so many career politicians in office that never do anything substantial

yes, though she must promise that she will unleash those behemoths that lay dormant beneath her blouse if she wins

I prefer Rashida Tlaib myself. AOC is preferable to the two senile goblins currently running though.

This country isn't ready for a Rashida Tlaib.

I'd rather not wait for 20yrs of conservative influence on both sides of the aisle to work on her. 2024, 2028 or 2032 are my hopes.

We're gonna be fighting to make this country less conservative for at least the next 40 years

So your solution is to put unqualified and inexperienced people in the White House...?

POTUS isn’t exactly a job that you can figure out as you go, and it is important to have connections within Congress that can only be built over time. As it is now, AOC isn’t even that popular within her own party, yet you expect her to get anything significant done in office?

    strawman.

I'm saying why would anyone ever hold her history as a working class citizen as a barometer of qualification when she's more in touch with real issues than most of these politicians that have only ever been inside the bubble of Washington politics.

I couldn’t care less what her job was really, it’s the fact that this was her occupation just a couple years ago.

Im not trying to diss bartenders, but I could never vote for a presidential candidate that was living off tips 5 years prior to her campaign.

She has a very promising career ahead of her, but she needs some actual experience.

You’d never vote for someone who understands struggle?

  • Jim Halpert

You’d never vote for someone who understands struggle?

Not if they were still struggling just a few years before.

She hasn’t been around long enough for us to even begin to judge her as a legislator, let alone as a candidate for POTUS.

  • I feel like 2028 is more realistic than 2024

they need a left senate and pres now, have the far left keep kicking down doors on a local level and keep expanding their priorities, then have a female president in 2024

it is imperative theres a female president in office before her IMO. And '28 would give her about a decade as being Bernie's successor and the loudest voice in the demo chambers other than Pelosi.

It's not really a huge policy difference. She's of age to run and has more backbone. She booed Hillary Clinton on stage. AOC seems to goodnatured to really upset anybody.
