With all the hype surrounding the Diddy situation, he has a chance to frame it in a way that suggests Jay, being friends with Diddy and R. Kelly, knows everything and has done some questionable things too (as she knows from Cole). He could mention the Super Bowl not inviting Wayne, and he could also imply that Kendrick is just a pawn (silly rap feud - trying to distract) sent by Jay, making him seem one tier below them.

Additionally, he could drop a line about how he hooked up with Jack Dorsey's girl (Jay`s partner in Tidal), which might explain why the industry as a whole doesn't f*** with him.

Well, Jay is one of the few guys who is bigger than Drake, and since he’s retired, he’s not a competitor. He wouldn’t benefit from taking on a competitor; in fact, he has a lot less to lose than Jay. This could create a narrative where it seems like Jay orchestrated the whole pedo controversy to end Drake's run. In this scenario, I would be one of the few opponents where Drake isn't the main guy, but rather the underdog (against the industry or higher-ups), and people tend to root for the underdog.

would look very desperate and will dig more things about drake up too like his ex friend that is literally hiding out in dubai that has connects to diddy that does literal trafficking and been arrested for abusing animals physically and sexually - and how hes on ig every other month trying to "blackmail" drake since the beef started because hes mad drake wont post about his mixtape or sum s*** lol

people are still clowning drake for hius own pedo accusations

also it would be drake going against "the culture (jay z)" again when people still arent over that either

no it wouldnt be good - and he already got some s*** for posting about aaliyah and solange the other day that people didnt like either

a bad look is it will mostly be outside of ovo cave, and it will be seen as drake trying to shift or divert attention from similar accusations of himself

Why call it desperate? There’s momentum around the narrative that Jay-Z was involved with Diddy, and just look at how "She Knows" is charting. I don’t believe the culture would support Jay-Z right now. For Drake, this is an opportunity to shift the narrative onto a new target.

From a pure business perspective, I have to agree—it would not be the best move.

Yeah, he’s been low-key keeping the spotlight on Jay and I’m here for it. I know a lot of people don’t want to believe it, but the momentum is starting to shift away from Jay/Kendrick.

From a pure skills perspective I think Jay would destroy Drake. Jay's latest project is 444 which is arguably great enough to be considered a classic. Drake's latest musical offerings are pure mid. He also is coming from the position of getting absolutely cooked by Kendrick in front of the whole world.

Pure skill doesn’t matter in beefs. Just look at the NLU and Adidon situations. It’s the best narrative that wins.

Jay also has the better narratives and angles when it comes to Drake.

Like what? The pedo controversy again? Drake is already destroyed in the public eye, so he has a lot less to lose.

also just had a addition thought.

i think it would rub people the wronmg way or make them look at it funny since he hasnt said anything about diddy this whole time, but then randomly speaks up only when jay's name get involved.

looks like it would come off as a petty n tryhard, and not for the sake of the victims but his own personal beef, fake care - as in oh now you "care" since jay, who you had beef with before, is involved. very selective & an excuse.

you either got to be against all of it or be quiet about all of it in a case as serious as this/

I think people would be intrigued by more conspiracy theories surrounding the Jay, Bey, and Diddy situation. On the other hand, they’re tired of the pedo and s***trafficking accusations against Drake. Since Drake is addressing these issues without exaggeration, I don’t believe people would blame the messenger. There’s definitely more drama and tea in the Diddy narrative.

  • Oct 13, 2024

Yes but it would probably be the thing that puts Drake in the tier of being “normal” as an act if it goes wrong

Hov could Ja Rule/Yung Berg Drake to where he’ll be doing reality tv. Maybe thats an exaggeration but this ain’t Meek Mill or even Kendrick lol

He definitely could spin the Kendrick thing, retroactively tie in the Meek s*** and redirect the sicko man allegations if he did it right tho

These type of ridiculous “Drake should do xyz” antics from fans are exactly what he did throughout the beef with Kendrick. I wouldn’t be surprised if Drake did all of this s*** if he had a beef with Hov rn

  • Oct 13, 2024

one verse from hov is all it takes to bury drake

would be a masochistic move from drake to invite another superior rapper to have a go at him

  • Oct 13, 2024

    Nope
