Scientology is a pyramid scheme cult that's basically a religion but on crack and with a sci-fi twist.

There was an alien overload named Xenu that dealt with overpopulation by sending a bunch of his people via spaceships to Earth and placed them inside volcanoes before detonating bombs, obviously killing them. But without any vessels for the souls to inherit, the souls/spirits roamed Earth until humans came along and attached themselves to them.

As far as what goes on, it's essentially "therapy". They'll do a bunch of questioning and talking to figure out what's "wrong" with you and then blame something called "engrams" which are like bad memories or trauma.

So then the upper scientologists are supposed to help you get rid of these things and the more work you do the more you move/level up. The end goal being that the more you remove the closer you are to being your true self which is the spirits I mentioned earlier.

And once you do that you get superpowers.

I think Scientology should not have tax exempt status since they are a weird for profit religion where you have to PAY money to ascend to the next level of enlightenment. And many people have lost a lot of money to them

They should make all their materials and courses available for free with that tax exempt status.

I’ve been to the time square scientology center and sat thru their little intro movie and info session. I’ve also pirated a lot of the leaked audit instructions and most of the OT levels and other texts
