I think the showcase mode is going to cover his career since he hit 20 Years last year

what do we really expect from them though? It's like the 2K series, the basic mechanics of each game are the same. only difference between releases is usually the roster, maybe give or take a couple moves

Nah you’re right. Plus I remembered back when the games used to drop in October, SummerSlam weekend would be when we got a big chunk of the game info. And that would be roughly the same amount of time.
