Are the hits here in the room with us?

Aint hear look at me nan once in nyc dawg.

He was facing a felony. I’m not jacking the dylan roof tweeter edgelord lol

You my mans but that’s a lie lmao Look At Me was definitely played out here. Sad was played on Hot 97 and Power 105 daily too. I’m born in 1994 and he had love from a lot of people in my age group too solely cause of how versatile he was

We’ll never know. Sucks that he got murdered

  • Mafia Boss

He would've been like Roddy, Dababy, etc. Hype for a bit then fade away.

  • yung goyard

I haven’t heard his music be played anywhere in at least 5 years. This argument is much stronger for Juice and Pop

graduated highschool like 6 years ago and have had literally zero desire to listen to him since then

  • If s*** music was really big rn I guess yeah

  • he is HUGE and beloved to this day, f*** it who knows!

  • Amir Karim

He would have been big,but not musically. He wouldve been adjacent to the streaming world (Ishowspeed,KaiCenat)
we wouldnt even care about the music anymore

You really think that? You weren’t paying attention. Maybe some of these other rappers but not X

didnt prove himself? sad was a hit, look at me was a hit

ya corny. x was way better than pop and juice its not even

close. ? album" has 10 billion streams first hiphop album to ever do that in history yeah didnt last

I think X had a higher ceiling than both but he was def way rawer than them when he died tbh

Pop had a higher batting average and Juice was undeniably the more polished rapper

If X had the chance to put it all together (barring he doesn't rot in prison due to his active cases when he died) we could’ve been looking at an all-time hip hop artists fs

  • Free YoungBoy

You’re letting your dislike of Xxx the person get in the way of judging his career objectively. Which I get, but he had Look at me, sad, Jocelyn Flores, moonlight, f*** love. That’s not even counting his SC loosies and features

If you were a teenager when he came on the scene you felt his impact. All demographics and races pretty much f***ed with him to a degree

He was literally bout to do time. Witness tampering is a felony.

Dead rappers really get better promotion

Dat whole emo rap soundcloud wave was just bad

U had xxx fans that said his best music was before 17 dropped so basically folks said he peaked before dropping albums. We got 2 differing perspectives on versatility cause “he play gatar” aint versatile to me lol.

Kendrick Lamar being a goddamn undercover emo kid (im sure that retweet was after a therapy session or some s***) is the only reason we even having this conversation.

The boy was bout to do time. Unequivocally hard time in jail. Mans was having a Kodak trajectory but worse and without the superior rapping ability to compensate for being a crashout (which also, reasons he got big.)

Well he didn’t get make “emo music” lol he made boom bap, r&b, reggaeton, trap, and some rock songs. Granted he was a kid so imagine what he would have done if he continue to grow. I just think he had the vision and passion that a lot of his contemporaries lacked. He was a fan of the art first rather than using it to get out the hood and you could tell he was going to be special.

It’s all about preference though so I understand why you don’t like him

  • He would’ve been locked up
Plus Pop Smoke with more time to live would’ve been bigger than him and Juice

  • Idk it’s hard to top Drake who’s basically got it down to a science with a team that’s on top of everything too.
I think his gimmick woulda eventually ran its course. It’s easy to say at a guys peak but everyone falls off no matter how big they were. Drakes the anomaly not the standard.

X was bigger than all those soundcloud clones
and he wasnt emo it was just the way his music sounded

he grew with no mother or father homeless as a teen like theres a reason why hes expressing his pain thru the music

He gave Kendrick raw thoughts so yeah he was def up next

  • ryuH

    X Pop and Juice definitely would’ve been a formidable 2020s big 3

Would’ve allowed the Drake, Kendrick Cole big 3 to age more gracefully tbh
