It is sustainable. The problem is the hardware isn’t selling enough to justify exclusives. And Microsoft suits want more money, so releasing everywhere makes sense to them.
But this is gonna come at a cost of their entire hardware business cause no one will get an Xbox cause no exclusives.
This isn’t a gamepass issue at all. It’s a no one cares about Xbox outside of the US problem and Microsoft wants money after a 70 billion merger

I’m more mad that I know it’s the right decision to make money wise but I’m mad about it cause of the uncertainty of their hardware

From what it appears, they're not in the console manufacturing business anymore. They'll reach out to other manufacturers to develop "Xbox-capable" machines just like Google does with the Chromebook. Between the Steam Deck, ROG Ally, Legion Go, etc. Gamepass is their main priority and filling it with good content.
This makes sense from a business perspective, can't even lie - even if it marks the end of an era.

It’s that f***ing simple. They need to say something ASAP. I couldn’t care less going multiplat. All I care about is the hardware
If Microsoft stops putting out consoles to compete with Sony, power wise and timeline wise, I’m f***ing done and moving my multiplat system to Sony.
The craziest part is there’s so many people that have invested thousands into the Xbox ecosystem and they’re not gonna get s*** when Xbox abandon their hardware but a monthly subscription to stream all the games they used to own outright on their PS6 & Switch 2
