Some of us out here aren't tryna drop $1000+ for next gen. I gotta ps5 and a 4K tv im chillen

I mean he asked if it was a good TV for next gen

A good next gen TV is $1000+ in terms of the specs you would want for next gen (VRR, low latency, HDMI 2.1, 120hz etc)

Anything else isn’t really a “good” next gen TV

Bruh that s*** is going to be eye opening lmao. 1080 to 4K leap is insane

HDR is much more impressive than 1080 to 4K

Seeing s*** glow off the screen like never before is crazy

I agree with the VRR, but HDMI 2.1, 120hz isnt necessary for a lot of games. I don't think "good" is the best word here maybe "Great"? I say this because to a lot of people like me at least as long as it has latency(game mode on LG) which that TV does have, 4K and 60hz HDR, it's a good ass TV bruh.
edit: also PS5 doesn't even support VRR rn

imagine dropping half a band for a overclocked console with no games and boot it up to find the same UI as the one you bought years ago

Imagine sexting other men in the sports section of a kanye west forum

If you consider that a good TV then Hisense H9G if the ghosting gets fixed (supposedly is about to) is by far the best budget TV

I have it in my room right now and the only way to match the picture quality is to buy a TV twice the price

I agree with you that 2.1 and 120hz isn’t that necessary which is why I bought a TV without them (H9G)

H9G is a budget MONSTER (if the issues get fixed)

It’s just if you want to talk good TVs then you’re talking $1000+ period

I mean Devil May Cry 5 on ps5 is already 120hz and it’s a launch game?

Most games are going to have performance modes and some will target 120. Any non graphically demanding game can easily reach 120

There’s problems with 120hz (as outlined in Digital Foundry’s video on DMC5) but if you want a “next gen tv” then you need those things and it’s not arguable

you guys think it’s even worth getting if you don’t have a TV with a 2.1 hdmi port?

there’s no exclusives atm so there’s nothing really pushing me, it probably won’t even look much better since my tv doesn’t support 2.1
