Okay, so I love the Elder Scrolls game but as they go on they begin to be worse and worse as far as quality. Bethesda Softworks did an amazing job in the past but get worse and worse due to the catering to different game genres. Elder Scrolls is starting to look like an uncharted game with its emphasis on action instead of RPG elements. I think if it were exclusive it would alienate so many people. Now that I think about it though, the games are only kept alive through mods so there’s no way they would make it exclusive. And also, exclusive isn’t really good in reference to games. It just means a good third of gamers won’t be able to experience it in the name of selling different consoles

Not a PlayStation fanboy, haven’t even had a PlayStation exclusive beside GoT. Just don’t want any of the solid RPGs to be gatekeeped. Plus Bethesda did a s*** job on Skyrim if we look in hindsight as far as what fans wanted from it.

of course looking back from 2020 there’s more/different things people want, but i think most people agree they did a great job on Skyrim for its time.

Not considering Oblivion or Morrowind having good writing while Skyrim was really shallow. Gameplay was super cool and everything was nice the first time around but without mods that game aged like milk.

Only reason it is alive is because of mods. TW2 came out the same year and as far as writing, there’s no comparison

yeah the writing was def a downgrade from Oblivion, but the gameplay changes and additions among other things made the game far more than the shallow one-and-done you’re making it out to be.

2 and done. Besides the combat there’s just literally no reason to ply it more than once. There’s no choices besides imperial/storm cloak and dawn guard/vampires. The guilds were whack. Thieves guild requiring you steal one thing during the whole quest line. Fighters guild absolutely being a trash werewolf tutorial. Main quest was written okay but what even is morality and option in a game like Skyrim. The only choice we have in this game that calls itself RPG is bow, sword, or magic

I mean I have Skyrim on all platforms, because it’s nostalgia, but it’s a huge downgrade besides the essential gameplay loop.
