Eh, I disagree
The lyrics were backed by stuff going on in his personal life at the time as he was going through his split with Brittany, I don’t think it was just being edgy for the sake of being edgy, the emotion was there & potent . . . Although that emo/depressed vibe has been overdone by this point esp in a Post-Juice, Post-Peep landscape
Plus the satanic imagery was a key part of his aesthetic in the run-up to LIR2

Definitely amongst the top 2017 songs, will definitely get remembered in retrospectives of this decade (it’s almost diamond on billboard).
I remember listening to a bunch of compiled Uzi snippets on SC the day before he dropped the loosies and a low quality version was in it and I immediately knew it was gonna be big.
While I don’t think the song even cracks my top 10 Uzi it’s be crazy to say this didn’t make him a star. He had his other hits and was gonna blow up anyway but this took him out of conversations of SC best artists to the mainstream.
I think in a lot of ways this upped the pressure a ton and made for Uzi to have a weird trajectory but he is where he’s at now for a reason and has stabilized.
A massive moment for Uzi fans pre-LIR2, a massive moment for SC and really put one of the defining artists of the late 2010s on the map in a big way.
