Hot take but I feel like we’re in a second blog era

But blog culture is dead. If we DID have blogs they would cover the many obscure gems of talent throughout rap music

The music isn’t gonna sound the same but I think there’s allot of underground guys that bring refreshing ideas and expand on what it means to be hip hop

zero heroes and popular culture were both great. his concepts and approach was so refreshing at the time

I want to say a little of everybody’s nobody and zero heroes. Not to the core either of these projects but very reminiscent. Some of the sample choices are very zero heroes coded imo

are all some nostalgic sounding tracks & where he shines the best imo still

This album is missing the fun & experimental aspects of his older tapes like Popular Culture & Zero Heroes but it’s a very mature effort from him

Think he’s in a place where’s trying to redefine his unique sound again but overall a solid effort & it’s simply great to hear him back
