Yeah I get what you mean too, in most cases I’m gonna lean more that way because I know I don’t want my mistakes to define me, it’s a scary thought. But while positive change is possible, idk if you truly become a different person from 17 to 30 or at any point, I kind of think of it more as building on the same foundation. Yeah his circumstances seem really f***ed up but it’s hard for me to just brush something like this off and give him too much benefit of the doubt. Im personally not judging him for what he did at 17. He was trying to make changes and be a better person it seemed and I wish he would have gotten the opportunity to. The DV is totally aside here for me.
