XXXtentacion had REAL s*** happening in his life and depression went hand in hand with that

He died and the industry replaced him with someone who was doing well mentally until d**** took over Juice WRLD , so his pain was a lil less real than X. Still real tho

Then Juice died and the industry replaces him with kid laroi he has had 0 problems in life and his depression is a complete fabrication and marketing gimmick. There's levels to pain and

  • Most of juice wrld music is available on widely used streaming services whereas X soundcloud stuff is stuck on the platform and YouTube and is less accessible to a wider audience

So I'd say Juice has bigger impact because his work is more readily available

But if X team did there job properly and released like an biopic and put his soundcloud work on streaming then he would have tge bigger impact

1000% u sure bout that? I once heard X literally talking about the frequency of music and tuning it a certain way so that it hits you a certain way

  • Crazy how impact can be held back just bc of a dying music platform and YouTube "premium" bs

  • Jun 20, 2021

X was a god to the youth. Regardless, its safe to say both would be running s*** if they were still around. F***ing crazy that they could've been potential leaders of this s*** but now they're both gone

If X and Juice was alive rap would be in a different direction currently

  • Juice and its not even close tbh

  • Jun 20, 2021

    Bias aside

I think Juice was the better artist musically, like man his rapping ability and the melodies he was making at 19 just put him ahead of X.

Commercially Juice was obviously bigger, but he also had more time in the industry to make connections plus he wasn’t a problematic person outside of music

That being said X’s influence is bigger and his cult following is more apparent. You can hear a lot of X’s sound is Juice’s music and even the whole emo rap persona was definitely at least partially inspired by Uzi and X

Also Juice came in at a prime time during a vacuum where X had just died and Uzi was on a hiatus so he had a perfect opportunity to sweep up the Uzi + X fan base

Music wise X was competing with Drake in terms of streaming last decade but Juice Wrld passed him up and is closer to Drake now (to put them in perspective) That's more than Eminem, Travis Scott, Post Malone, Lil Baby and everyone else.

In terms of impact X at his peak had a bigger movement and was making different music vs Juice who was following Post's formula with a little bit of Young Thug.

I liked Juice Wrld's music more though

Actually I just checked and X was lower than Eminem and Post but still the 8th most streamed artist of the 2010's. Juice is the 3rd most streamed artist of the 2020's so far.

From a outside perspective I don’t know how anyone doesn’t chose X. The versatility and range X had within is music was way wider and better than Juice imo. You can argue which was better. But impact is easily X. He’s legit the 2pac of the new generation. I hate comparisons but he was a main figure to them

He took xxx, lil peep and uzi sauce and made it easily digestible

Because Uzi the mainstream artist with multiple hit singles is so hard to digest for casual listeners
