I honestly really enjoyed his 2016 bubblegum rap and then he decided to be "taken seriously" and changed his sound to more generic trap and he was still good but kind of just like all the others around. This new sound he reinvented himself with is EXACTLY the music he should be making. Every song has been fire and his melodies are fire over that kind of production

I agree about his recent songs like Strike and Slide. Haven't really liked Yachty in the past but his recent stuff has been pretty good.
