I’ve had my same email account for over a decade

I know my password, I know all the details… I logged out on my phone cause a friend wanted to check their email and their phone was dead

Now I try to log back in and even though the password is correct it says it has to send a text to the phone number on file but I got a new phone number 2 weeks ago and didn’t update it

Now the only way you can fix it is to call their PAID support number and pay $13 just to have them change your phone number to my current

What a scamming crock of s***

I would pay for support lines if it meant immediately getting through to someone tbh

All my accounts I’ve ever made are linked to it…. Why would I change it just cause yahoo is old and have to login to every website and account I’ve ever used and worry about changing everything?

I don’t send emails, it’s literally only used for incoming stuff

I HAVE a gmail account but there was just no reason to ever use it when everything was already linked to my yahoo account

And I never worked a corporate job or anything to where I got an email address through my job

i still use yahoo mail for a few things

i also have a super old yahoo account that i needed to get into but they wouldn't allow me to. customer service is also awful

could never imagine doing everything on there tho, get a gmail or something.
