Man I’ve been having heartburn for like 5 days now. It’s really bad and whenever I smoke i feel like I’m having a heart attack so I’m gonna stop smoking for a bit. Pepto Bismol doesn’t do much and neither does that Equate thing. Anyone ever experience this? I read online that I have to quit smoking and avoid food with acid in it, but damn near everything is acidic

    Pls help

I've had this for years. I tried multiple meds and they didnt do s*** longterm.

The best way to fight it is to not eat anything at least 4 hours before going to sleep, eating less meat(specially burgers) and eating more seafood n salads.

Note: meds and home remedies will only give you relief..not a cure.

9 out of 10 times heartburn has to do with s***ty diet, smoking and drinking.

also, drink plenty of water and avoid OJ whenever that feeling hits

    wishing you the best fam

  • I get it really bad when I wake up a lot of the time. Runs in my family it's an L

I do notice that it doesn’t really get intense unless I smoke (weed). I planned on quitting this year anyway but I guess my body got a bit impatient

I think it may be the weed because my diet is pretty healthy.

I smoke mostly joints but I smoke blunts with my girl and friends because they’re peasants. Been smoking more blunts than joints lately, and yes I’m a roach killer.

I’m just gonna stop smoking period. I read that smoking relaxes the lower esophagus and that lets stomach acid rise up and do its thing.

Did this just start 5 days ago? Or is this something you’ve had on and off for a while.

Either way, try taking some Famotidine (Pepcid), it should make the heartburn go away. If you continue to experience heartburn or need to take the Famotidine more than 2 times a week, then start taking omeprazole once a day. Omeprazole will take like 2 days until it starts working, but then you should be reflux-free.
