to you yes but i know a lot of people that think that for example his first album or KOD is mid and boring. His last album and FHD were excellent. He is just hit or miss for me but i am glad you can enjoy everything from him sadly not for me.

Big fan of Cole's music but nah. I'm still putting his mixtapes above most of his albums. He's got a pretty disappointing discography for someone who made FNL

Hell nah, miss me with that. Album was heavily touted at my school and people I know and Cole was running 106 & park with this album. FNL is a classic, we can agree on that

That doesn’t necessarily mean his albums are bad though. I actually don’t really find the “I’m tryna come up!! Am a new rapper in the game!!!” content on the mixtapes as thrilling as I used to. I prefer his albums now

I don’t think the consensus on that was ever it was boring. Just slightly too mainstream for some old heads but in retrospect that criticism doesn’t hold up as much

Tyler on a run right now but him and Cole both had poor starts in the mainstream and dips after. Solid mixtapes with B****** and TWU/FNL. Awful debut albums. Better sophomores but still room for improvement. Cherry Bomb a mixed bag, 2014 FHD pretty much unanimously Cole's best album. Then Tyler dropped one of his best albums and been great ever since. Cole dropped a dud in 4YEO, a slightly less worse dud with KOD and Off Season was solid

Kendrick way more consistent than either of them. Top tier all time hip-hop classics with S80, GKMC, TPAB. DAMN slightly lower tier imo but still considered a classic by many. Morale could be argued as his only dud so far and even that album has vehement support from a lot of people and some things going for it
