honestly ken really not that good
Like I said.
This is hip hop not an instrumental album. We gotta judge the whole package.
Bro gets the most insane beats to do the exact same thing on all of them, just be scream “heh heh” on his songs
Flo Milli and Tia Corine are 100% examples of this era just being WOAT at breaking new artists in.
these playlists just aren't doing it.
The removal of the human element is the problem. It's just algorithmic with how music is promoted now, which necessarily leads to homogenization and stagnation
in a time where labels are deprioritizing signing rappers maybe it's a mere coincidence labels want them to do a sound that alienates or pushes out an entire crowd of potential fans
U work for a label right?
Bro gets the most insane beats to do the exact same thing on all of them, just be scream “heh heh” on his songs
he has zero cadence and personality on his tracks
Yung Kayo is way better den him but he gets no love

the ego people have promoting this slop when they’re letting an A.I. curate their taste in music is funny as s***
we’re cooked just because it’s boiled down to “real hip hop” alchemist ish or neo soul vs carti keef thugger future core and not something totally new
There are a bunch of dope experimental artists in hip hop though. Danny Brown is an older act and he still makes music.
How you gon say you the king of pluggnb and rage rap and you 42 years old! Back to business…
wait can u explain how 2010s rock is better than 2000s?
i can name a lot of great 2000s bands but 2010s all i have is tame impala and men i trust
they’re the only bands you think are good from that decade?!?

Im not like some rock/music aficionado like yall. I have simple tastes
Modern Music isn't real music
Every day one the bus to school, they play stupid
mumble crap and normie pop on the radio. My peers
will start to sing along, and I'II try to drown them out
by singing the Beatles or Queen.
The other kids always make fun of me and say,
listens to old people music," and I try to
explain that the 90's were the last good generation of
music, but they just ignore me and keep singing. I
don't want to say anything too smart because there's
a lot of black kids and l'm scared that they'l beat me
up if I expose my true intellect
I know Ben Shapiro hates rap too, so l'm probably
not wrong, but everyone tries to make me feel like I
am. Maybe I was just born in the wrong generation
Edit: Wow three upvotes. Thanks guys, this is so
awesom

70% of teenagers and young adults have
turned to hip hop and rap. If you are part
of the 30% that still listen to real music

Honestly
Yall just fell for label marketing campaigns and tactics pre streaming and u miss being spoon fed who is supposed to be the “next big thing”
Now that u aren’t being spoon fed what is supposed to be good u just shut down and listen to the same s*** bc the reality is most people are sheep
you're point has some merit, but i think its a little bit a both. truth is, yes, they were pushing artists harder in the past, but the music of those label plants was still noticeably better than what's being pushed now. Producers and song-writers were just that much better back then (probably because labels were spending more $ on that than they do now). Personally I still go through the new music playlists every friday, desperately trying to find new music I'll click with (even saving some songs that aren't great, but marginally better than the rest).
bottom line is overall quality of music is getting worse and worse
