Back on the topic, I also feel like if I adopted, I would have a much different mindset and wouldn’t feel like I’m trying to like mold them into my ideal person, rather providing them the necessary resources to set them up to do what they want with their life.

I also think my parents having a toxic relationship a lot of the times and not having my biological father in my life contributes to my disdain toward having children. I never want to put my kids through that s*** and I don’t want to grow to hate my SO because children complicated the relationship

Don’t get me wrong I’d love a kid of my own. With all that’s happened the past year with COVID and this year... I realize I want to have more experiences.

I’m 28(29 next month) so I’m okay with adopting around 37-38 instead of getting pregnant ( which at that age have higher risks of pregnancy)
