Posse cuts were already a dying thing man Control wasn't even a posse cut. I've never understood this line of thinking from people on the internet when it comes to Control. Yes, Control probably had some niggas shook but the fact is there were some responses even if some were ass. Cole's response was ass. Krit made a song as a response and nothing happened. Meek responded and kendrick ignored it. And i'd also like to point out rappers like budden and lupe responding. Now if you wanna say some of them niggas are irrelevant, that's fine but hip-hop is hip-hop and whhen you call out the rap game you don't really get to pick who you can respond to like that.

im a more of a kendrick fan but even if Kendrick came out on top he still wouldn't be higher on the GOAT list than Drake imo.
I measure GOAT status by influence, impact, accolades, and longevity.
kendrick will prove he is a better MC but thats about it

Yeah I would have back then. They both talented lyricists why not show the world you can hang. He had nothing to lose and everything to gain especially after looking at his trajectory.

That's my point. He didn't respond to anyone. Well he did drake but that's obvious since he clearly wanted to go at the number 1 guy from their era. Kendrick didn't underrate KRIT. He namedropped him

that's why i think that interview with elliott during NWTS was great

because it showed what he would do in a battle
