They’re too stuck on the past. I’m just not seeing what they see when they say trilogy is his only good work and it’s all been downhill since then
It’s not his only good work that’s a broken stretch
It is his best work by far though. Bbtm onwards he sold out. According to himself. Nobody’s blaming him. We just want the edge back. His spark is still very bright and alive but he’s dumbing the s*** down to sell records.

After Hours was 100% a step in the right direction. His singles since have been complete booty juice though. Take My Breath was made for 40 year old Depeche Mode fans

HOB is one of the most satisfying tapes I’ve ever heard. Thursday is all over the place but has ridiculous peaks and sound design. EoS has his best pen game and is consistent throughout. I honestly rate them 10, 8.5 and 8.5 respectively. Kiss Land is a 9 to me

HOB is one of the most satisfying tapes I’ve ever heard. Thursday is all over the place but has ridiculous peaks and sound design. EoS has his best pen game and is consistent throughout. I honestly rate them 10, 8.5 and 8.5 respectively. Kiss Land is a 9 to me

I think the problem he has is cohesiveness. Like is bbtm was like 9 songs it would’ve been received much better. If starboy was like 10-13 songs it would’ve been received much better.
All those albums have an albums worth of great music in them imo

I agree. Starboy most definitely could have benefited from quality control. He wanted to touch all bases on that joint though. He put 3-4 joints of each style on that thing. I’d say he succeeded but as a project it suffers because of it.
Do you rly think he’s reached similar peaks to Trilogy on those records though? Excluding HOB. Rolling Stone, Initiation, Next, The Zone etc are pure bliss . Like that s*** almost gets you high listening to it
