Both of his diss tracks were musically too bad to compete with drakes level of fame. But on top of that his timing was awful and the disses soft.

I say what if because Timing was the main factor. Meek made claims while on tour. Drake sends a warning shot. Everyone waits for Meeks response. 4 days pass. Drake comes with Back 2 Back dissing Meek again. Social media goes crazy with memes about Meek. Meek responds almost a week later. By that time everyone said he lost before they even listened to his response because this generation has a shorter attention span. Memes started and continued by that point. The internet beat Meek more than Drake did. Drake used the internet to his advantage tho. By the time War Pain came out people were saying this should have been the first diss but it couldnt have been because everything he addressed in that verse was said in response to Summer Sixteen. The internet wouldn’t have broke how it did when Drake released Summer Sixteen and Meek released War Pain while sitting at the 6'ers game courtside when both songs dropped. Trap Vibes was a response too and had some nice lines. But by that time he was already long considered the loser so he got made fun of for that too

Nicki was the reason it didn’t go too far. Drake didn’t wanna end up getting to the point he’d have to disrespect Nicki. Meek could’ve went way harder as he showed before.
