For me personally it got to a point where when I started questioning why things worked the way things did like a year or so ago and when you realize a lot of answers seem to stem for capitalism (unironically) was when I had to step down and learn. So obviously talking about socialism in a thread about cupcakes is OD but when you talk about race/climate etc you can’t fault users for trying to get people to think deeper. Because they are absolutely right in the aspect. I’ve seen a lot of people on the internet want to address certain issues without discussing the root underlying cause (expensive healthcare for instance) which is capitalism. Can’t have one outside the other for any truly nuanced convo imo. There is no quick fix or “oh I can take out this part of the system I don’t like and it’ll still work. Not realistic.
