Im sure a lot of dope artists didnt study that hard

Artists have a certain spirit and taste that doesnt necessarily come from older works

Its jus the sasori and diedara argument

I always agreed with diedara. Art is all about the current moment

The anime's whole arc and character lesson is that both are important - not one or the other

They both had their head up their ass

Deidara was too focused on the moment and the spectacle and ultimately wont be remembered because he failed to make a real impact (killing sasuke). Which is what will happen as an artist if you only study what other ppl are doing

    Ball knower

Dedara was too busy chasing peers (sauske etc.)

Sasori was too busy chasing the past (his parents)

Dedara wanted nothing to do with Onoki

Sasori wanted his parents and Chiyo's love

Both are flawed thinking - and the show teaches it's good to look to the past, but don't hold it so tight or become obsessed of the what was - and teaches that it's good to look at others ahead, but don't lose sense of self or endlessly chasing an end that you don't even know where it begins

You need both, past and future, for true moving and impactful art

    Ts is straight conjecture lmao

Diedara is one of the most popular naruto characters

He almost fought sasuke as hard as itachi

I think yall are drawing a lot of associations that dont exist. On a technical level its good to study good art but that has nothing to do with how old it is, u could study whatever u like regardless of age and be great

My gripe is i think mos was trying to instill this idea in max because hes old as s*** and wants people to revere him and his work. Ion think that advice will take max very far hes already made a killing off only focusing on new artists

Yea i agree with this balance is everything

But i think in practice diedaras perspective is more useful

I think they're both extremes that are destructive and basically self masturbation that just keeps u in circles

You need a base and home (the "past"), and you need to walk and be willing to go away (the "future")

Of course nuthin is truly 50/50 but I don't either of the extremes have more points over the other

Although I do think it's good to "research" both parts on their own and break it down for urself and what you take away from it uniquely - which also adds to u as a unique artist to begin with

Plaqueboymax is a joke. He meeting with people in this spaces but at the end of the day people are laughing at him. You will NEVER be taken seriously as an artist. The most you’ll ever continue to be is a lolcow for you subscribers and then be forgottten from the world within the 2 weeks you stop streaming
