American artist yasiin bey has shared plans for a one-off live-streamed show.

The show will feature new material, the first time the rapper, singer, songwriter, and actor has debuted something unheard for over five years. The new project is the first yasiin bey has undertaken since his Negus sound installation in 2019, and will be beamed around the world.

Taking place on December 15th at 7:00PM GMT / 8:00PM CET / 2:00PM EST, the live-stream represents a new chapter in his work, and will be broadcast live on his Bandcamp for $7.99.

A special one-off event, access to the video and downloadable music tracks will be exclusively via the purchase of a QR code issued in conjunction with limited-edition merchandise including hoodies, t-shirts, stickers and laminates to be sold on bey’s Bandcamp in due course.*l

The performance will be given a vinyl pressing in due course.

I know he does releases very unconventionally and I wouldn’t be surprised if the album is the live performance that will be streamed…but I do like his stubbornness to not play the streaming game. I heard the museum album and I’m sad 99.9% of people will never know what the song “Waves” is.
