Opus means best album or whatever in that artists discography not just music in general. we talkin just Ye studio albums
People are mad that Ye is trying out new ways to make art is crazy to me. Thats why he is who he is.
🍆🏇
So glad my fav rappers have a fanbase that keep it honest with em good or bad
i feel the majority of the people in dismay and are vocal about are kanye fans no?
there'll always be d***riders, but i've seen a lot of pushback for his AI usage amongst those who are still apart of his core fanbase
I agree with Donda being his best post TLOP if we're not counting KSG which is factually his most consistent post TLOP project.
I sorta agree with you on Ye. Didn't care for it at first but it grew on me and I feel several on there are some of Ye's greatest(Violent Crimes, Ghost Town, No Mistakes) while the others are kinda generic and felt more like loosies.
I feel the opposite about JIK. I think the subject matter is its saving grace because of how wholesome and mature Ye sounds while the production and lyrics are just kinda generic and watered down from Yandhi.
Vultures 1 is okay to me in the sense that it's a collab album with Ty Dolla Sign that wasn't meant to be all that deep or experimental but it actually exceeded my expectations to an extent. It flows together fine as an album and has some incredible beats and vocals that Ye(and his unpaid interns lol) and Ty put together. The features were good too. It's really the mixing/mastering and some of Ye's phoned in verses and cringe bars that throw the album off.
V2 to me is so bad that it might as well be non-canon. Ye should've put that s*** on Stem Player like Donda 2 and let us listen to the updates via Youtube leaks lol.
great takes
V2 is not that bad man
good album overall
tell us why you think it’s a good album

They s*** aint an opus for ye even its just better than anything else hes dropped in ten years so ya’ll use it as a copus. Bloated mess of an album imo.

Tbh, I think most Ye fans think V2 is trash and his worst project.
There's some people vouching for it but they're basically niggas who hype it up for its potential more than the actual product lol.

it’s easy when Kendrick never misses

Yeah not everything was bad after TLOP. He really put out great records until Donda. V1 wasn't bad and V2 had great ideas but unfortunately it's just very bad executed
tell us why you think it’s a good album
theres at least 7 good songs
i think kanye has to flop in order for him to move on from this AI stuff. obviously he is really committed to it, but i don't think he will be if his next album only sells like 50k first week.

last time he was real tbh, @kanye fans was there ever anything attached to this era or leaked?
Donda definitely his best solo post TLOP. Ye to me the at the bottom but that may be because it was the first album from him to disappoint me and it was a bit shocking at the moment. I just feel like most rappers at that time could've made that album. Whereas previously every Ye album was unique and sounded different.
JIK is nice imo subject matter only thing really holding it back. Hooks are great, features are nice and it has some of the best production over the last decade of Ye.
I see Vultures like his return/temporary escape back to debauchery and being a somewhat single, rich, h**** ass again at the time lol
donda has some of his best songs ever but is totally ruined by the bloat and seemingly random ass track listing. make it 9-12 tracks actually focusing on the concept of "donda" and you have the best ye album since yeezus easily
