Let me ask KTT a question:
Would you prefer if:
Kanye raps the way he has been for the past few years (off beat, low energy, repetitive words)
OR
If he used AI to make him sound like himself in his prime?
I’d prefer he retire 😂
Prince and MJ are some of the best examples of "this doesnt matter for legacy at all". MJ before he died was absolutely demonized in the media and made fun of on all entertainment fronts. Prince was more mysterious but also was made fun of quite a bit--both of them died and nobody talked about anything but their music and incredible legacies in music. When Ye dies--nobody is going to say "man but he released Vultures 2!!
" or "he said something mean about jews!"
Prince made like 1000 vultures 2s
That's such a passive attitude, just because something is bound to happen doesn't mean you should just let it wash over you. You do you though
You got Luigi plans for music AI?
I am really confused why he continues to publish things for V2. Really head scratching.
I generally agree with not being a complete doomer about AI like most people on here are. I think it can be used as a fun tool/instrument.
But using it to completely create your vocals is a bit too much to me. I think there is a skill behind being a vocalist that people have put years into developing and I would prefer it if that is valued and not completely replaced. There's a scary future for artists if people head too far in the direction of being optimistic about all ai usage.
Strictly from a slightly selfish consumer standpoint I agree with the concept of like "if I like it idc anyway". Another part of me loves art and I value people putting effort into developing their skill and I don't want to see that die because many have dedicated their life to it. It makes me a bit sad even if it feels a little inevitable
I see where you’re coming from, it’s a drastic change so I’m not surprised to see the reactions of AI usage.
Hope you’re well and happy new year to you ❤️

If he was able to use it in a way Em did on his last album then yea I’d be cool with it
But ye’s use of AI so far has just been to create patchwork vocals for 1 or 2 lines he didn’t record or have words for lmao

The AI part of this song isn’t good so I don’t think he plans on using AI to sound like himself in his prime.
He’s using it because he’s too lazy to finish songs himself now
I am really confused why he continues to publish things for V2. Really head scratching.
I'm half expecting him to just delete it from streaming one day like that Nah Nah Nah song

I understand this, but I just hate when niggas complaining about the fact he's using AI.
Like bro this s*** is becoming the future, get f***ing used to it.
"WANNNNNN I HATE AI WANNNNNNNN"
"AI is horrible"

14 years (really 17 if we start from blueprint 1) vs 5 years (still had some quality in that timeframe)
Yeah. Absolutely not

the secret third option:
kanye retires

No offense, but it’s very clear your understanding of art and its history is quite limited. But Ai art especially in music is incredibly inevitable. Some of the greatest composers / artists of our time were finding ways to automate their work because they wanted to strip music of any ego.
John Cage constantly contributed to composing music through chance based methods to generate compositions.
Mozart literally invented a dice game to create music because he wanted to add randomness that existed outside of human intention.
Brian Eno is not only one the greatest producers of all time but also created some of the very first Ai generated music for his ambient series.
Ryoji Ikeda used his own data sets to create music and visuals through computation.
David Bowie (frequent collaborator with Eno) was always on the look out of the best tech to build music with. At one point he cut up words and starts stringing then together to do his lyrics.
There’s a bunch more but the point being, you (and plenty of people on this site) have a very narrow mind on the subject matter and are not really engaging with it in a way that seems productive because the points being brought up are incredibly shallow and surface level. The use of Ai in music has also been happening for more than 40 years so like
