Ye is not as good if we don't count listening parties and 5 albums in one month gimmick.

The same with JIK, it feels like a complimentary dish for going to Sunday Service, like Hello, thank you for coming, here's a disk with a few tracks.

On the other hand, other Kanye albums are self contained and I can fully enjoy any of them, as they doesn't require me to live through some particular events in order to be more interesting.

I think that maybe Kanye feels the same way, that's why he announced Yandhi right away, and JIK2, it's like the original projects weren't enough.

That is interesting how Ye announced the sequels very soon after the first albums....

I think DONDA won't need no sequel though.

It will be THE ONE .1

Honestly, I like Drake but I feel that since I've been following Kanye for so long, I will be hard for me to get the same kind of enjoyment from the other artist, even if Drake does pretty cool song, I'm still starving for new Kanye.

Ye is interesting enough based on how vulnerable the content is. I’m sure JIK resonated with those from religious backgrounds too.

It's true though. When Kanye made those albums it was not as to make an album to sell and to display all the music he could.

It was just a screenshot of his state of mind at the time. It was part of something else, something fuzzy and not very palpable.

It's clear as a day that JIK and Ye are his worst albums by far. But he stopped making music in 2016. Everybody knows this.

Ye as a producer is still up there though. He just retired at this point in time.

it is n tlop is a good album (i still like all the albums itt personally), but i think the “this project feels whole” thing started to go away there there are still moments of cohesion on all the recent albums but i do think they feel more scattered, mby even intentionally so to some degree (regarding tlop and ye imo)

  • I'm not sure if demo is the right word but these projects just don't feel all fleshed out like normal albums to me and I like ye

I still feel like if anyone else in the world made ye it would be considered good tho

Yes, for me TLOP MSG version is as cohesive as Ye, but added tracks give it a theme as a an album which incorporates all Kanye sounds (from CD to Yeezus) into one project thus the LIFE of Pablo.
