grown on me sooooo much recently man. i think the nostalgia has increased so i’m probably blinded by that but yea... it strikes a chord more now than it once did
Love this album so much
Loved it on release but I’ve went back and forth on it for a while, this just holds such a special place in Kanye’s discog, no where near his best but there’s so much magic on this
I didn’t like it at first. Now it’s a classic. I don’t like to just rank Kanye albums because I don’t think it’s as simple as applying basic metrics. Ye album gives you something unique when you’re in the mood for it.

I always loved it tbh
I never got the "unfinished" critique of it, it's like a distilled version of Pablo thematically with more rapping and more consistent, cohesive production
It doesn't have a ULB, FSMH or a Waves but it has Ghost Town and Violent Crimes

Rating Ye albums never feels right to me cause there's soooooo many different angles you can take to rate it
ye the album is so important to me it cannot be feasibly ranked while feeling right to me
I enjoy it more than TLOP
could be top 3 ye if he took more time on it
tbh we know the “made in a week” stuff is kinda bs now because of the Love Everyone demos / snippets / tracklist
Only songs that were probably made/rewritten in those last couple of weeks were wouldn’t leave and violent crimes
Seems like the whole “album completely scrapped” thing was more of a refocusing of the themes and tone of the album to be more personal after the TMZ incident

Whether they re-wrote or wrote the album in the last week, when you have a very talented group of rappers working with one of the best hip-hop songwriters ever in Kanye nonstop for a week with laser focus like that it's not really a bad thing lol

I feel yo but I kinda think that was the point of the project. moreso the heat of the moment. 'Ye' being haphazardly put together to formulate an artistic mirror of how he was feeling at the time

It doesn't have a Famous, FML, NMPILA, I love Kanye, Saint Pablo, Real Friends, Wolves either. This album is good but Pablo blows this away tbh
