SpiderManYe's recording process is:
Doing an unfinished mumble take with some lyrics and topic -> getting writers to write to it -> listening to their reference tracks and deciding what to keep for final -> ye records final take with finished lyricsNow with AI, he doesn't have to do the final part. He can just straight up take the writer's reference and run it through AI voice filter.
This is what was done on Sky City first verse, which is the most noticeable, he took Cyhi's verse and ran it through AI that's why it sounds super awkward in comparison to real ye verses.would be interesting if he feeds his stems to a branch model and AI-tunes all his reference bars. like maybe even records some new stuff if it doesnt sound good but still has the AI sing it. this eventually leads to a "demoscene" period where an album will be procedurally generated live and reuploaded every hour to streaming platforms overwriting the previous version. a digital ye singing the same songs over and over into individual wax cylinders. every physical copy of the album is different, in a configuation unheard by human ears until someone plays it for the first time. tracklisting is different for each one and some "songs" are rarer than others
