i mean this is the kanye bully album thread, not the kanye positivity circlejerk thread. you can't expect people to not express their disappointment at something like him straight up abandoning the recording process and using AI as a shortcut to finish songs faster. it's an inherently controversial decision he has made and people are gonna feel how they're gonna feel about it.

personally i'm hoping the album is at least good, but i won't lie and say i don't feel weird about it. i know he hasn't been writing like that for a long time, but it's hard not to feel like you're losing a lot when you're not hearing kanye's emotions when he's recording these songs.

Could be such a solid track too, it's a shame. I just don't get why he can't get in the booth and record the verse using the ye-i filter verse as a reference. Copy it word for word for all I care, record the vocals on iphone, just put in the bare minimum effort and record it

S*** I said I wish this was only a hook to a full song with full verses with no focus on radio and a focus on the art. So far its only a minute 30 so feels like an intro or interlude. I dont know whether or not its AI I am waiting to hear more from the artist not random posters on ktt2 . If it is ai I want it labeled and I would like to know the reasoning why.

Nothing is accomplished by saying "its ai " when i asked 8 hours ago for someone to show me a confirmed ai song or tech demo that was as impressive replication of voice and no one ever did. I have backed off of magnum opus after seeing some of his crew there and listening to this song

He's not exempt from criticism. If you or anybody else enjoys the track and the AI doesn't bother you, more power to you. I just think it's completely pathetic for one of the greatest artists of all time to stoop to this. I'm not asking for MBDTF tier music, all I'm asking is that he record his own verses (the bar is in hell) and I'm not gonna feel bad about that

That's fine, but I don't get why you'd come at me and others for being "negative" when we're making a very valid criticism. It's not negativity for the sake of negativity, it's based on what he's done multiple times already. He's shown he's willing to release AI verses on streaming, so I don't think it's unrealistic at all to assume that will be the case again. I hope you're right and this is just an instagram preview, but I'd be willing to bet that if it ever drops, it's gonna drop in a very similar state to what he's shared already.

Constructive criticism is dope and deserving especially of what he dropped today

spamming the thread with "its ai its an ai album its over omg its ai how can you not tell its ai listen to how he says disrespect ai wow he washed ai" isnt constructive it just sounds like a pedantic child with no form of patience to wait who comments first on youtube videos.

We dont care what a bunch of people who can barely hold a discussion about music or type out a full paragraph to them is crashing out think of music. We dont. No one does.

My constructive criticism is that he should record his own verses, I don't know what else I can say in regards to that. I'm always down to be optimistic, but he's shown no indication that he's going to record his own verses, so the positivity is mostly cope imo. All of his real verses (besides Husband maybe?) on Vultures 2 were leftovers from Vultures 1 and other eras. Field Trip is AI, Forever's extra verse they added after he previewed it at a listening party is AI, the first verse on Sky City is very clearly AI, Beauty and The Beast is AI, and Preacher Man might be AI but I'm not 100% sure. All that to be said, anybody dissatisfied with him using AI would be justified in thinking that the songs he's previewed with AI are going to remain like that, and I think complaining about it in the thread for the album is totally fine. As far as "real music discussion" goes, there's not much of substance here to discuss. How much of this music is even Ye anymore? If he's gonna phone in slop, are we supposed to treat it delicately or are people allowed to be upset?
