For 98% of other hip hop artist, sure. For Ye--the first 6 are absolutely untouchable and are the measuring stick.
lol
No albums of his, passed Yeezus, are so much more superior to others. They are all in the same quality tier. TLOP and Donda probably the best(not counting KSG), but all the post prime Ye albums are either meh or very good. None are classics or masterpieces(not counting KSG). Love the production and hooks on JIK, Ye has some good songs here and there but is the worse of them all imo.
I enjoyed V1 when it came out but V2 is much better, even down to individual songs (Fried S***S on Carnival). Neither are amazing, but solid albums for a 50 year old Nazi lmao Y'all treat old ass, out of his prime Ye like he has to be releasing MBDTF level music now lol just be grateful he still gives us gems every now and then.
Ye stans are the first stan group in rap to still be acting like they expect prime music from a waaaay out of his prime artist. Snoop, Cube, Dre, Em, Jay etc.... fans were never this harsh on them lol old ass rock bands drop albums and they never get the "tarnishing their legacy!" comments Ye does. Go easy on the poor guy ffs. He already has enough haters
I pretty much agree. TLOP for me was his last really good album & a modern classic. Ye was ok. KSG was cool vibes. JIK is mostly ass. Donda had too many songs but was nice.
I think V1 is just alright but s*** like Fuk sumn, paperwork, and burn clear most of V2 for me. He had better versions of those songs than what was released imo.
I get the pressure but I canāt blame people, we literally have Billboard saying Trav, Carti, & Rod Wave are our new big 3⦠theyāre clinging onto Ye cause he had the heart this s*** missing fr. Plus he cooler than Snoop and allem so good or bad itās hyped up and sensationalized more. He on Bowie levels, the people hoping for Blackstar tier s*** at his age now. I think heād be ok if he goes for shorter albums like the Wyoming joints, that length for him should be failproof. I would like to see bro start his own Young Money or something, ultimately. Alley oop some new talent to the game.

A 10-15 song album mostly produced by him and with more mature topics (talking about all the allegations, his relationships with Kim/Bianca, his nazi episodes, his 2016 episode, his mysterious Africa trip, people taking advantage of him lately, his failed presidency etc..) would hit like crack ngl
Unfortunately I think he's still stuck on tryna be THE man in hip hop and caters to the youth too much. But I ain't mad at it. Every Ye project gives me at least 3-4 really dope songs so I'll keep listening. He still makes pretty damn good music and has special moments, especially for this current era

I dont know if this song caters to anyone
Thats what I mean. His legacy is set in stone. No album released in 2024(or post 2016, really) will change that. Nothing he has said outside of music will change that, either. I remember how badly Michael Jackson was perceived before he died. It was even worse than Ye right now. Truly HATED. He died and the next day? Everybody loved and still loves MJ. All this drama doesn't mean s***. The prime is all that matters. Just enjoy the circus boys
Fax. We got that initial 6 album run
I dont know if this song caters to anyone
You right, this one + Preacher Man seems to be going in that direction. Which is why im surprised everyone here seems to hate it
Other than, you know...the Allen Iverson features
where was it even confirmed that say less is ai cause I am seeing the opposite and on google the main thing that comes up with say less ye ai is ktt2

this site is genuinely the only place I am seeing all the ai claims
Anytime I open this thread, its something about AI
it will never be the same.

We're discussing the initial album run and how the legacy is already cemented from that

It's supposedly a Donda leftover, too. Which I would also expect KTT2 to love. Not saying it's the greatest song ive ever heard, but it's not bad at all lol tbf I am seeing a lot of the comments under the Ye pages about this song be very positive. Other than AI comments lol

People think "wow if he can rap or sing it has to be ai"
Anytime I open this thread, its something about AI
well yeah because you have A Eyes
it will never be the same.
except AI because it can make everything the same every time

Like on some Freddie Gibbs s***, a seasoned Ye really rapping would be lovely. He sacrifice real bars for the dad jokey s*** and I be hating it so much! He still got so much to rap about lmaooo damn
When heās good, heās f***ing excellent tho. I feel the same, I know Iāll at least f*** with a few songs so Iām always tuned in.
Have we ever considered that Clone Ye was created by AI that a***yzed real Ye in La mental hospital ?
@ChiraqPalestine I can help update OP for you, I run the Bully timeline thread on reddit , OP is missing a lot of key moments
