Interesting, Ye admitted Mike Dean left because Ye was screaming at him, but Ye was so ramped up he didn't fully realize what he was doing or how it affected others. So now he's being more mindful of his episodes

Got to be the one of ! the worst ye interviews, looks good tho.

liked the discussion on the soccer chants and his attempt to recreate that on All Day, Black Skinhead and Carnival

    But that’s all

    “worst interview”

    Lmfao hes done man

  • i actually liked this interview had a cool artistic background too, the interludes with jim jones and him ranting was a nice touch too, he spoke fairly coherently as well and i like how he touched on his mental health even if I didn’t agree 100% with his approach to it he sounds more mindful about it than before. best interview since drink champs 1

what are your thoughts on his AI usage?

Ye has always been a big source of inspiration for me, but I think his most important contribution to pop culture post Twisted Fantasy has been experimentation and dynamism, so he's the one artist I respect that I find it easy to believe would use it, and doesn't change my opinion about him

the narrative online about AI is that it's lazy, but Ye spends months in the studio working on these albums, he's probably gonna have himself and other rappers record 50 slightly different references for each song, and probably a couple very similar to the final product, but then the final product will use AI vocals, I don't think you can consider that lazy it's a creative choice to highlight AI

Could he just as easily record his own vocals? Yes, but if he's doing it out of principle then I will at least respect it on the grounds of experimentation

It's just about what kind of expectations you have of Ye, I don't need him to try and make another Twisted Fantasy or Graduation or College Dropout, as long as he's doing something new I will be excited for it (this was also the reason for why I championed JIK)

and why do you say this?

maybe after BULLY comes out he'll win em over

    Lmfao hes done man

  • he sounds coherent, self aware, confident here

he’s def cooked but it’s interesting to hear him this honest about his mental health publicly, i was surprised to hear justin ask deeply personal questions that would otherwise normally cause ye and most other artists to get defensive

was surprised by this, the convo about him not being bipolar and actually autistic was hilarious ngl

  • i get it’s drink champs but man he sounded crazyyyy on the 2nd one with the brittany hair

  • how does he not realize that was some dogshit

  • That was fire, best interview since first drink champs.

And I understand the AI advantages regarding sampling, which I agree. But man using it for vocals is utter dogshit and I hope he changes his stance on that
