    Yeah I’m sure Gamma only does distribution for Sexy Redd and wasn’t the reason she was planted absolutely everywhere

    that's part of distribution and marketing they're not fronting her a bunch of money to make the music and she's signed to a label aside from gamma as well

    true 100% independence is rare, basically unless it's a full service label situation it's "independent". i think 50 was paying for a lot of things out of pocket in that era so he was technically independent

    i partially agree with you that it's not really independent because you're accessing their huge marketing and distribution channels and budgets but it's still "independent". true independence is like direct upload to distrokid which very few big acts are doing
